​She's come a long way ... I'm very proud of myself for not giving up and tossing her in the garbage, like most other people would have done.  So KUDOS TO ME!!!  😊

So this once rootless Phalaenopsis Orchid officially has 2 new healthy leaves and 2 new roots.  I never dreamed this beauty would ever recover, but she did!   😘

YES, another new baby leaf is emerging!  This is more excitement than I can bear, coming from a Phalaenopsis Orchid that was near death just 2 months ago, without roots, no less!  ​😊  

​If you look to the right of the crown, under the first new leaf, you can see the first root growing!  Very cool!!!

Oh, the leaves are not checkerboard, that's the sun shining through the window screen...pretty cool effect!
