Hello!
My name is Bree and I am an Orchidaholic...yes, I'm addicted to Orchids. My family, and the friends who truly know about my addiction, will attest to this They are also my biggest enablers, and I couldn't manage my addiction without them.
I also have some OCD qualities, and this shows itself in the detailed log of each and every Orchid I am owned by, which I delightfully share here with you on my website.
As I awaken each and every morning, I make my rounds by visiting with my Orchids AND, if I see something new, I take pictures and notes. I'm afraid to miss just one day because I might miss something that may need my immediate attention or see something that just might take my breath away.
As with any addiction, one is too many and 100 is not enough. I have applied this to my Orchid addiction...my "full-blown" addiction, as some have described it. 😉
My Orchids help keep me balanced every day. They are my meditation, as spending time with them has become the greatest distraction from life's little aches, pains and road bumps. PLUS I'm getting the added benefit of continuous beauty surrounding me, long after the actual act of meditation is over.
It has recently been shared with me by someone very special in my life that "meditation and mindfulness techniques aren't a one-size-fits-all, and everyone has something different that works best for them. It's just a matter of finding what really takes us to our very own place of inner peace". I have found mine, with Orchids. 💘
