This was the fastest I've ever seen a healthy green Orchid spike turn completely brown...4 days flat! This baby is ready to focus on more roots and healthy leaves, so I'll cut the spike completely down in a couple of days.

Sadly, we finally have wilted blooms, just in time for her 3-month anniversary since being repotted! Most Orchids begin wilting shortly after being repotted, but not this baby! 😍

How sad to wake up in the morning and find the last 3 remaining wilted blooms laying on the table next to their momma! 😢 This is the life cycle of an Orchid, and a new one will begin in the next few weeks. I'm excited! 😍
How quickly these types of changes can occur. Just last night at bedtime, they were still in full bloom. 😢 Tomorrow will be exactly 3 months since she was repotted, quite a long time for an Orchid to stay in full bloom after being repotted in fresh media. I so enjoyed her, and already look forward to new blooms next cycle.  |
