Could this really be a new Orchid spike emerging towards the end of August, during our 5th heat wave in Zone 6?  Believe me, it's NOT because it's cold in my house from the AC...quite the opposite...quite 'tropical' in here!  lol    My gosh this must be a healthy Orchid...maybe a bit confused too?

No matter how many times I see new baby Orchid leaves growing, each one delights me with such excitement.   This tells me the root system is very healthy.  So glad I made the decision to cut off the green spike a few weeks ago.
